Originally from Southern California, Jane has been in the fitness industry for 20 years. She graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Psychology degree and is certified in group exercise, personal training and as a Wellness Coach. Her passion is igniting change in others and encouraging others to succeed.
Jane recently married Greg Crews in early July 2016 – and even more so now is LOVING LIFE!

I came to FBD in July 2012. I had been thin all of my life, but in the last 10 years, I had let myself go and gained 90 lbs along the way. As a result, I was depressed, exhausted, and felt defeated. All this has changed over the past year. I have since lost 55 lbs, 3 dress sizes, and have been taken off of my pre-diabetic meds. I love the intimate setting of the studio and I never feel self-conscience. My trainer, Jane Crews, makes my workouts fun, yet challenging- I feel so empowered when I leave. Also, the other trainers ( as well as fellow clients) are so encouraging of one another. I have 40 lbs left to lose, and I am confident I will reach my goal, because of all of the encouragement and positive motivation that I have received at FBD. I contacted Jane Crews to pursue the possibility of personal training after hearing about her from a friend. I have been training with Jane for about a year now and am very pleased with the results. Jane is the best ever! I personally like her no nonsense, “get it done” approach to the workout routine. She will certainly send you home knowing you got your money’s worth every single time. She truly cares about every client as an individual and customizes to their specific needs. I have been with her for over a year and I enjoy her tremendously, both as a friend and a personal trainer. For me exercise is equally about physical and mental maintenance. After taking a couple years off to care for family, the time had come to take care of me. I’ve been a member of other fitness centers, even done personal training over the years. One thing I knew, I wasn’t interested in joining another “big” gym. I wanted a place that specialized in personal fitness/training and I found just that! No matter what your goal is, big or small, Fit By Design can accommodate.
I started personal training with Jane at FBD almost three months ago, going three days a week (most weeks) for an hour each visit. I have lost 10 pounds and several inches, enough to require new jeans and getting compliments from friends! Although my weight loss might be slower than some would like, this is what I prefer with my lifestyle. My goal is long term weight loss, overall fitness and healthier lifestyle.
I would highly recommend trying FBD….I find all of the trainers to be professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. They will push you to help you reach your goals and make you accountable by keeping a food journal! If you’re slightly intimidated by larger gyms and would like something more personal, I recommend calling FBD. I’m sure FBD will help you reach your goal as Jane is helping me reach mine.
